This relaxing honeymoon or romantic holiday focus on three areas: Cape Town for 4 nights, a Kruger safari in a private game lodge for 3 nights and then 4 nights relaxing on Bazaruto Island off the Mozambique coast, with its white sandy beaches, lush vegetation and an azure blue sea for swimming/snorkeling amongst the rich coral life.

There are now direct flights from your game lodge to Vilanculos via Kruger Airport on selected days. This means that there is no longer a need to overnight prior to the Vilanculos flight. If you need to travel on another day though, then you may need to add an extra night. However we include a panoramic tour of the Blyde River Canyon on this day. So it's definitely not a wasted day!

Tailor-made options

This itinerary can be tailor-made in a number of ways. In Cape Town, we have left it open for you to choose whether you want to take car rental for complete flexibility or whether to want to choose from a comprehensive array of tours and adventure activities.

In the Kruger, you are free to change the accommodation (though we chose this lodge especially because it combines excellent game-viewing with a honeymoon special offer.) Similarly you can change your Mozambique beach lodge for a number of alternatives as well.

Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort is ideal if you like more activities and buzz but you may prefer AndBeyond Benguerra Lodge which is smaller and more intimate, or the luxurious Azura Retreat (with a price tag to match).
